Please note: due to it's treatment, smoked cork features a distinctive smoky scent when it is first manufactured, which dissipates over time. 

Smoked or dark cork is a new type of eco-friendly and sustainable material, made from the bark of top branches of the cork oak tree. The bark is steamed at high-pressure, which causes it to expand and bind together with it's natural resins. This treatment gives it a stunning texture as well as a unique look and feel. Every part of this process is 100% natural, self-sustainable and produces no waste.
